It takes a village…

The beginning of the sowing is a great day for the people of the village. The whole village is mobilized.

The seeds are transported to the sites and the half-moons are sown by the village population. About 80% of the village population participates in the sowing and works there for 10 to 20 days. They sow, sing, eat, make sacrifices and perform rituals that glorify the forest.

It is always important to sow before the rains to allow the seeds to adapt to the conditions of the soil and the land. And then, one must wait for the rain…
