Hommes et Terre, the exclusive execution partner of Nardi’s Delfino 3S Plow

Hommes Et Terre cant regenerate ecosystems. Degraded ecosystems can only be regenerated by the local communities that live in them. What we can do, however, is support these communities by accompanying and motivating them, as well as by a technical intervention to stop the natural process of erosion.

Our main approach to the latter, is based on water retention, using half-moon shaped micro-basins made by the Delfino 3S plow (produced by Nardi Group 1895) With its extremely arid and impenetrable soils, the Sahel region is one of the most difficult regions for ecosystem restoration, but also one of the regions where it is most needed. Although the Delfino 3S plow is the best existing tool for large-scale ecosystem restoration, using it in the Sahel therefore brings along a lot of challenges and obstacles, which requires a strong mechanical and logistical capacity and expertise. After years of experience doing earthworks in Burkina Faso, Mali and Senegal, we at Hommes et Terre have now developed the necessary capacity and expertise to successfully use the Delfino 3S plow on a large scale in the Sahel region.

We are therefore delighted to announce that following a close collaboration between Hommes et Terre and Nardi Group 1895 since the beginning of our interventions in 2017, Hommes et Terre will now be the exclusive executive partner of Nardi in Mauritania, Senegal, Mali, Burkina Faso, Niger, Chad, Gambia and Benin. In these eight countries, the Delfino 3S plow will no longer be offered as a product but as a service, executed by the hectare by Hommes et Terre. This partnership will make ecosystem restoration more accessible and continue to increase its impact in the Sahel!
