The magic of half moons

The first step in restoring degraded land: digging half moons

For something to grow and develop in the desert, you need water. Especially rainwater. Even in the most arid regions, it rains heavily at least once a year, during the rainy season.

The challenge is to retain this water, in what we call half moons. They are dug into the hard, rigid earth. This way these half-moons significantly reduce erosion and water loss.
